De Vrouw in het Medaillon

De Vrouw in het Medaillon

On a tombstone, Steijn discovers a medallion with the image of a woman. Her face fascinates him and does not let him go. Shortly thereafter he leaves for Russia for his work. There an old woman shows him a picture of Oksana, her daughter, who was employed in Germany during the Second World War and never returned. Steijn recognizes Oksana's face as that of the woman in the medallion. Back in the Netherlands Steijn learns that his grandfather was in German military service during the war years and fell in love with a Russian forced laborer. Could it be that the woman in the medallion is part of Steijn's family history?
